What is the hotel’s policy regarding dogs? Is there an additional charge? Are there any weight or race restrictions? You may also worry that traveling with your dog means sacrificing your comfort. The pet policy allows pet dogs of all sizes to be accommodated in the cabins for a daily fee of $20 per pet. To order online, you can select any home and then add a pet fee at checkout.

This resort has everything you need for the perfect vacation without leaving the sprawling 700 acres. Choose from a variety of activities that the whole family will enjoy, from land to lake. The swimming pool and guesthouse are pet-free areas, but dogs have a separate swimming area – Fanny’s Beach. We even managed to rent a yacht with Roscoe around the lake! In addition, you can eat in one of the five restaurants located in the resort. Dogs are not allowed in the dining room, but you are welcome to dine with your dog in the casual outdoor seating area of the Red Mill. If you want to have fun without Fido, dog walking and baby sitting services are also available.

Field Guide Lodge in Stowe is an elegant boutique hotel operated by Lark Hotels. Like many properties, the pet policy allows dogs under 70 pounds for an additional fee of $50 per dog per day. We stayed in one of the three dog-friendly Cottage Suites, which have plenty of space and a private outside entrance. You can order these flats online, remember to add your dog’s number, size and name at checkout. Dogs are not allowed in the guest room. Out of respect for other guests, dogs are only allowed on the veranda and common areas outside the hotel.
This hotel has a stylish Lodge-Chic design. The living room in the hall, comfortably furnished with wood burning stoves in retro style and cozy fireplaces, invites you to relax with a book or a board game. You can enjoy breakfast in the lobby cafe or drinks and snacks in the new vintage ski themed bar Après Only. You have to reserve the outdoor jacuzzi in advance, which is a bit inconvenient. But the advantage is that you are guaranteed to have it to yourself. And the place can’t be beat. We managed to walk to the city center and the mountain bus stops in front of the hotel. It’s the perfect home for you and your pet on your Vermont adventures.
Dog Friendly North East Holiday Cottages
The Inn at Mountain View Farm is a unique place to stay in the heart of Northeastern Vermont. In accordance with our pet policy, dogs are allowed in select rooms for an additional $50 per night: Peacham, Danville, N. Danville, Maidstone and Lost Nation. To book a room online, you can select the “pet friendly” option. The hotel is so pet friendly that there is a friendly golden retriever at the front desk and there is even an animal shelter on site. Be careful if your dog reacts to the presence of other animals!
We stayed in the Deluxe Peacham room which was nice but comfortable. Roscoe loved sleeping in front of the wood burning fireplace. In the morning, they were welcomed with hot coffee and coffee in the main pub building. When we thought we couldn’t take any more flavor, the innkeeper brought out slices of his famous farm-fresh blueberry pancakes that we couldn’t resist.
This historic 400 acre farm set on a plain in the northeast kingdom is like new, one of the most beautiful places I have ever stayed. Having to get up early to see the pink and purple sun over the mountains and the early morning haze settling in the valley.
The Kimpton Taconic in Manchester has one of the most liberal hotel pet policies I’ve come across. Everyone is welcome, from raccoons to feathers, as long as they fit in the elevator! There are no restrictions on the size, weight, breed or number of pets, and there are no deposits or additional fees. When ordering online, filter by “pet friendly” and complete the pet form at check-in.
Dog Friendly Northeast Harbor Golf Club (near Acadia National Park In Maine)
The Kimpton Taconic is truly the perfect place to pamper your dog. The rooms include food bowls, toys, treats and an Orvis dog bed. (Your dog must visit the Orvis flagship store down the street). Dogs are allowed in the lobby and in the veranda dining room of the hotel’s Copper Grouse restaurant. In the colder seasons they have outdoor heaters to keep you and your dogs warm. Additionally, you can request pet services including but not limited to pet sitting, dog walking and pet spa services by contacting the front desk.
Made Inn Vermont in downtown Burlington is a home away from home for you and your pet. The pet policy at this urban boutique bed and breakfast includes cute, well-behaved friendly companions for a fee of $25 per pet per day. You can book directly online, just remember to add your dog to the number of guests and enter the details in your notes.
We stayed in room 904, one of the larger rooms recommended for large dogs. Even Roscoe’s was great, with bathrooms downstairs (though at least they were private). The quaint nature of the pub may not be to everyone’s taste, but it is in a great location, just a short walk from the town centre. The owner is very friendly and happy to recommend restaurants and things to do in Burlington.
Mountain Top Resort, located between Killington and Rutland in central Vermont, is not only dog friendly, but puts dogs first. The pet policy states that canine companions are welcome in the town’s four luxury cabins and in select guest houses equipped with Vermont cookies, dog beds and bowls. Reservations are available for $50 per dog per night, for a maximum of two dogs per additional unit. Dogs must be registered at the time of booking.
Dog-friendly Days Out
The house invites you to “come and see, wait to experience”. This resort is located on 700 acres of land in the Green Mountains and offers incredible views of Chittenden Reservoir. With direct access to this amazing outdoor playground, there will be no shortage of exciting activities for your dog all year round. During the warmer months, you can enjoy a private beach with free kayak, paddle board and paddle board rentals. In winter and spring, you can explore cross-country skiing and snowboarding trails. Come and have a nice fire day or night with your dog on the porch with beautiful views of the meadows, the lake and the mountains.
The Stowehof is my favorite dog friendly hotel in Stowe. You can purchase dog-friendly, dog-friendly ground floor rooms for an additional $25 per night that lead directly to the hotel’s lawn-filled suites.
This warm and cozy cottage is built around raw timber beams and offers stunning mountain views. It is a true alpine escape, timeless and relaxing. It seems the world around it may change, but Stowehof will always remain a familiar place to call home from home.
With simple but clean rooms, this is one of the more affordable hotel options in Stowe. Breakfast leaves a lot to be desired, so go elsewhere for a morning meal. But grab a drink at The Fritz Bar and take a cozy seat with your pet. Choose between playing a board game on the large sofa in the living room, reading a good book in front of the large sunken fireplace, or gazing at the stars around the roaring outdoor fire.
