Hotels near SeaWorld San Diego are easy to find because it is located at the end of Mission Bay, near other popular tourist districts, and near the San Diego airport.
The other good news is that the hotels and resorts on this list are some of the most budget-friendly in San Diego, as there are no good five-star options near me.

Best Dog Friendly Hotel In San Diego
There are no hotels closer than a 25 minute walk to SeaWorld San Diego. The good news is that there is plenty of parking, so driving is easy. You can also easily drive to designated parking spots using Uber or Lyft. I take my kids there all the time, it’s free and easy.
This list is designed to highlight the best hotels near SeaWorld San Diego at all price points. It’s a little different from other things I’ve collected because it covers multiple neighborhoods. To give you an idea, Mission Beach and Old Town neighborhoods are both close to SeaWorld San Diego.
Although they are a little further away, hotels in downtown San Diego and hotels in La Jolla are convenient for visiting SeaWorld. Those looking for cheap hotel options are advised to look for these two areas as they are not included in this list.
Some hotels with the SeaWorld name aren’t actually close to the park. If you are looking for a hotel that is not on this list, check the distance on Google Maps or something similar so you don’t get lost.
San Diego Mission Bay Resort
Speaking of distances, here are a few things to keep in mind when visiting this popular San Diego park. I have listed the distance of each hotel from SeaWorld San Diego in walking distance. Otherwise, I noticed the driving time.
Driving distance can be shorter or longer than walking distance. There are different paths and footpaths, as there are bridges that cross the lagoon, and in some areas it is necessary to safely cross a busy road to reach the entrance of the park.
You should also ALWAYS buy your SeaWorld San Diego tickets online before you arrive at the park to get the lowest prices. It is usually only available online. The best price will be on their website. No advance booking required.
Advice. Public parking at SeaWorld San Diego is free for some annual pass holders, but $30 per car for everyone else. There is also a private parking. You can save time by purchasing parking online, and depending on where your hotel or motel is located, you can save money by using Uber.
Is Hotel Del Coronado Dog-friendly?
Why go? Families love the Hyatt Regency Mission Bay Spa & Marina; It completed a $65 million renovation in 2019. This is one of the few hotels in San Diego with whirlpools (there are three, and they must be 42 inches or taller for guests to use).
Walk four blocks to Belmont Park, our beachside theme park, Beachfront Beach and Mission Beach with many restaurants and shops along Main Street.
Beach. While in Mission Bay, the resort doesn’t have an oceanfront beach, but one of the best things about Mission Bay is the water sports. Mission Bay Sports Center rents skis, kayaks, canoes, water skis and bikes on site for use on the bay. You can also enjoy Gone Sailing’s private and group charters that depart from the hotel’s dock.
Nice to know. This hotel does not have a Regency Club. You’ve read mixed reviews, but most are still up-to-date. This is one of the great things to do in my neighborhood. They offer the following connecting rooms.

Why go? The new San Diego Mission Bay Resort location is a great choice for those visiting SeaWorld and the rest of San Diego, as the location offers great access (we couldn’t hear the noise from our room), and recently . renovated rooms, large heated pool and water sports. Bay Beach is a good hotel option.
The Mission Bay promenade is right in front of the hotel, as well as a beautiful sandy beach. The fire station needs to be saved because the online store has s’mores kits.
Formerly the Hilton San Diego Resort & Spa, the property is now part of Noble House Hotels & Resorts’ collection of upscale and exclusive properties.
Beach. Bicycles (surry, beach, bicycle, trailer) for rent and sand toys for use on the beach. Action Sports Rental rents jet skis, Segways, paddle boards, pontoons and more at the beach resort. There is a volleyball net (balls can be purchased at the front desk).
