Saunton Sands is a dog-friendly beach that dogs can visit all year round and is popular with surfers and dog walkers, thanks to its three miles of golden sand and great waves. This beach is also famous for Robbie Williams’ music video, Angel.

Situated on the edge of Exmoor National Park, Lynmouth Beach is approximately 500 meters wide and shingled, close to the picturesque village of Lynmouth. Even if you’re not crazy about surfing, these beaches are also known for their pristine nature. These large stretches of long, golden sand offer great places for dogs to run.
Three miles long, Woolacombe Beach offers spectacular, uninterrupted views of the clear blue sea. Also, you’d be hard-pressed to find a beach anywhere in Luxembourg with better sand and better waves.
As a result, this is one of Devon’s most popular destinations. But with that said, Woolacombe is also very dog friendly. The beach is divided into three areas, two of which allow dogs throughout the year.

I recently stayed at Woolacombe Bay during my big ‘A Walk in the Parks’ tour of England’s National Parks and received a comprehensive review of this wonderful destination.
Saunton Sands is one of the prettiest and most beautiful beaches in the county. Visually, the beach is spectacular, with the sea as far as the eye can see.
But this is true of almost every beach in North Devon. So what really makes Saunton Sands unique is Braunton Burrows, located just behind the beach.
Braunton Burrows Biosphere Reserve is UNESCO protected and this sand dune is the largest in England, great for exploring!

Another favorite among surfers, Croyde Bay is known for its strong waves and great vibes. In fact, it is considered one of the best surfing beaches in the world.
It is also convenient for Croyde village. This charming seaside village is the perfect place for a scone or ice cream before a leisurely stroll down to the beach.
Or, if you prefer a more vigorous walk, the South West Coastal Path offers many spectacular and surprising views. You can access the route from Croyde Bay and (if you want to do some serious walking) you can follow the route to Woolacombe.

Croyde Beach has dog restrictions. The beach welcomes dogs during the high season, from October 1st to April 30th. Beyond these days, dogs can walk on the sand. But it’s recommended that you stick to the dune paths and keep your dog on a leash, because this area is a breeding ground for snakes.
