Dog Friendly Cabin Gold Coast – As a popular tourist destination, Queensland’s Gold Coast offers a range of accommodation options. However, the options available when traveling with your dog are not extensive and many caravan parks do not allow pets.
I’ve found a selection of the best pet-friendly caravan parks on the Gold Coast, all of which even have pet-friendly cabins. Read on to find out more about the options available and book your next Gold Coast holiday for the whole family, four-legged members included!

Dog Friendly Hotels
BIG4 Gold Coast Holiday Park is one of the best parks on the Gold Coast. The park has several areas for dogs, including a large fenced off-leash exercise park for dogs, as well as agility equipment, a DIY dog wash, and on-site dog kennels. Dogs are also allowed in the swimming pool.
Naturally, the park welcomes animals in its large petting zoo and on site. When you check out the cabins on their website, look for paw prints that indicate which animals are allowed.
Some of the luxury cabins at BIG4 Gold Coast Holiday Park include studio cabins, cozy cabins, two bedroom cabins, two bedroom family cabins, bungalows and two bedroom terraces. There are pet-friendly cabins that sleep between two and six human guests.
Pets do not cost extra, and every household is fed a well-behaved dog with a maximum of two hearts. Of course, advance booking is essential and you must tell the park at the time of booking that you will be bringing a pet.

Another dog-friendly caravan park on the Gold Coast is the dog-friendly Kira Beach Tourist Park. A short walk to the beach at Coolangatta and a short drive from the Palm exit makes this holiday park a great choice if you want to hit the beach.
Dogs are allowed year-round in this park in designated utility areas in addition to their excellent kennels. Two spacious two bedroom dog friendly. All cabins have a balcony with animal proof material, perfect for relaxing outside and enjoying a BBQ. Inside there are two bedrooms that sleep up to four and your own kitchen with dishwasher and bathroom.
Please note that usually only one small dog is allowed per booking and they must be up to date on their vaccinations. An additional $32 housekeeping fee may also apply. A self-service machine for dogs and a washing machine for dogs can be found in the park.
NRMA Treasure Island Holiday Resort in Biggera Waters also has a petting zoo on a tropical beach. Home to four beautiful pools, a licensed bistro and activities, it’s the perfect place for a family holiday.
Gold Coast Pet-friendly Vacation Rentals
Park has two very friendly rooms. Ask directly with the park for more information. Additionally, pets are allowed on selected sites suitable for tents, caravans and motorhomes, including some premium sites. All sites and two cabins are located together on the shores of the resort, near a small fenced off-leash dog training area.
Please note that pets are not allowed in the park during QLD and NSW school holidays. Up to two small dogs are allowed per site, and cats and birds are permitted. Contact the park directly to make a booking with a pet.
Well, this caravan park isn’t technically on the Gold Coast, but River Retreat Caravan Park in Tweed Heads South is a short drive from the South Gold Coast.
The park has a variety of dog-friendly cabins. In addition to the ensuite cabins, there are pet-friendly models and budget cabins without bathrooms that are just a short walk from the scenic area. All cabins are air-conditioned and have at least two beds.

Dogs are welcome in the park year-round, although the final decision rests with the manager. Of course, pets are also welcome if you live in your own caravan, camper or on a strong site.
There are also many pet friendly resorts on the Gold Coast that have no cabins or do not allow pets in any of their cabins. If you have your own caravan, campervan or tent, consider these wildlife parks on the Gold Coast:
Coomera Holiday Village: A caravan park and campsite near Dream World. Although there are no cabins or villas in the park, dogs are welcome year-round in active and non-active areas.
Jacob’s Well Tourist Park: Located on the northern side of the Gold Coast, this park is a popular fishing spot. Select a location in the park selected as a friend.
Pet-friendly Airlines In Australia And Overseas
Southport Tourist Park: The park’s central park is close to Surfers Paradise and Broadwater. Animals are only fed on request outside of high season. Note that the reviews are negative.
Advancetown Caravan Park: This quiet and friendly park is a short drive from the Gold Coast. They don’t have a proper website so ask directly about their pet policy.
Pyramid Holiday Park: This park is just across the border at Tweed Heads. Pets are allowed on pet-friendly sites, but not in villas or cabins. There is also a fenced dog park.
If you can’t register a pet on the Gold Coast and don’t own a camper or camper, there are other pet-friendly options on the Gold Coast. There are many hotels for rent on the Gold Coast, some of which are friendly.

Alternatively, inquire at the Quest Robina Apartment Hotel. There is a pet friendly terrace on the ground floor of the hotel. Each unit can accommodate up to two dogs under 20 kg for an additional fee of $49 per night. Please call the building directly to inquire about availability.
If you want to stay on the Gold Coast with a pet, another option is the QT Gold Coast in Surfers Paradise. Dog Book Yes! Take your dog with them in their bed, mini bar and dining room. A 20kg weight limit also applies to dogs on the QT Gold Coast.

Dogs staying at Big 4 Gold Coast Holiday Parks must be vaccinated with proof of vaccination on arrival.
Dogs are not allowed in the pool area, Nibbles Cafe and the water park. Dogs are welcome on Nibbles Terrace.
