Higgins Beach is a popular spot for dogs to play in the sand and splash in the water. After a long day of fun in the sun, unwind at the Inn by the Sea, a luxurious beachfront resort offering the highest level of pet and host care.

You and your dog will love exploring Nantucket together. This tiny island off the coast of Cape Cod has no street lights and no New England charm. Right off the boat, where you’ll see many owners making the trip, it’s clear that Nantucket is a place that welcomes canine visitors. Choose from a variety of dog-friendly activities, from walking the Sconset Bluff Walk to exploring historic lighthouses. There are plenty of dog-friendly spots in town, including hot breakfast spot Black-Eyed Susan and American Bistro Queequeg’s. National parks are great places to go with dogs, and Acadia National Park is one of the best. There are more than 100 trails to explore, and a free dog-friendly bus takes riders around the park and island.
