Since we are talking about mammoth, you should visit nearby Hot Creek. It is a river of thermal water that crosses a mountain valley; it is especially wonderful when the weather is cold and the river is full of snow. I can’t imagine a better way to relax after a long day of skiing.

Yosemite becomes a winter wonderland when it snows! Many of the regular trails, such as Bridalveil Fall and lower Yosemite Fall, are still easily accessible, mainly because they are flat; Other trails, such as Glacier Point Road, provide fantastic cross-country skiing or snowshoeing opportunities.
