We are located in Banff, Alta. For the last leg of a nine-day trip west that took us through five provinces, we moved to Vancouver from Toronto, partly for my husband’s work and partly to stay in nature. It’s better than new. In 2013, Larry the greyhound died on an Air Canada trip. In 2017, WestJet put Cooper, the labradoodle, on the wrong plane. And earlier this year, Air Canada lost Dewey the cat during a landing at Toronto Pearson Airport. He disappeared for more than three weeks before he was found pale. Dewy originally booked a direct flight, but the airline changed it.
