Springdale Utah and Zion National Park: On the first day, drive 160 miles from Las Vegas to Springdale, Utah to enter Zion National Park. After the night, we have a full day to explore Zion, especially the Westside and the many family-friendly hikes that can be accessed with free movement in the park.
Bryce Canyon National Park: After our second night in Springdale, we headed east into Zion National Park on our way to Bryce Canyon.
The scenery is spectacular, but most of the road is small and windy, and the 85 miles take several hours. We arrived in time to watch the sunset at Sunset Point which is perfect, a beautiful introduction to Bryce Canyon.
Bryce Canyon National Park: We had another full day of hiking in Bryce Canyon National Park and the next morning after one last visit to Sunrise Point, we started the long drive to the Grand Canyon. The day’s drive is about 286 miles and takes a lot of the whole day.
