Happy 2017 my dear! Ella is here. Although I last saw you six weeks ago after my trip to Macon, my New Year’s resolution is to blog more – oh wait, that’s Mom’s New Year’s resolution. I’m too lazy to invent my own, so I’ll just borrow his and be done with it, ok?
I’m basically a big road warrior, so this wasn’t a big deal. I went up and down the escalators at these airports, went through TSA lines like a boss, and got a lot of attention because I loved it.
Since Mom and Dad were visiting friends in Fort Collins, I thought I might as well go to Colorado. I’m not sure why this is important, but he says he doesn’t always like hotels, so I took a page from Stephanie Tanner’s book. how rude she is!

But McLane Brewery and New Belgium allowed a few more spots to come, so Fort Collins seemed to be a friend of the locals.
Thank God for the dog because it was cold outside! As a Maltese, I have the distinction of having a full head of hair but no fur, so I can’t handle 20 degree temperatures like a breed twice my size.
Or the dead sharp grass as we headed to Estes Park. I had grandiose visions of three feet of shovelable snow, and instead I got this?!?
However, in my opinion – SAG – Mom and Dad had no problem with whatever the condition was. (Mom asked me to say that, how about you?) The snow can wait.

I learned something on that trip and it made me a professional skater.
We then headed to Estes Park to thaw out our little paws, where I was warmly greeted by the canine staff at Elkins Distilling Company.
I fit into the decor! Apparently I was born a distiller’s dog too. Ollie was friendly and I liked him (which is more than I can say for most species I meet). He even shared his whiskey with me.
In fact, I liked him so much that when he pulled a trick out of my playbook, I didn’t even try to show it to him. How’s that for a little humility?
Planning A Dog Friendly Trip To Moab, Utah
On the last day before returning to our stuffed monkey collection in sunny Tennessee, we had to make an early trip to Denver to meet my mom’s friend and co-worker, Lauren.
But first we wandered around the Rhine. This confused me, as I thought it was the name of a horned animal that I was advised to stay away from if I ever encountered one in the South African bush (I later found out). As for the River North Arts District…why didn’t they call it that in the first place?!) – in the howling wind until it’s time to find Lauren.
The plan was to brew beer—you’ve probably heard, but Colorado is known for its breweries—and that didn’t happen until we found out Denver passed a law last year banning dogs from all breweries, and we felt really bad. a fence. What! Imagine if we, the best of the best, banned you from our covers (it’s clearly there).
We met Lauren in the park instead, and I got to go swan chasing, but it was so cold none of us had a name (I’m pointing the wand at you guys though) – It took so long. Denver decided that if you don’t care about my humanity, I don’t care about yours either. That’s the last you’ve seen of this jet-powered puppy!
