Tito’s Handcrafted Vodka’s “Love, Tito’s” is a movement of individuals dedicated to unified purposes, efforts and associations with the goal of transforming sentiment into love and kindness. It all started twenty years ago, when Tito’s was asked to donate produce to a local non-profit fundraiser. On the spot, he told participants, “If you like it, tell 20 of your closest friends.” They did just that – excited not only about the vodka, but also about Tito’s generous support of the community.

DENVER – Denver has no shortage of dog-friendly patios, but if owners want their dogs to run free at a restaurant or bar, they’re out of luck. But that will change with the opening of an off-leash dog bar expected to open later this year.

When Layton Judd and partner Louis Fahis moved to Denver, they were surprised to find there was no other facility like it. They toured dog bars in other cities across the country.

“We like the idea because it’s great to have a dog on a leash. The dog feels happy, the owner feels happy. There’s a sense of community,” Fahis said.

After months of working closely with the city of Denver to get the planning and codes in place for a successful implementation, construction can finally begin on their Happy Dog Park and Gym.

“This is the first one to open end-to-end for Denver. There have been others and then added dog parks. So there’s precedent so we thank them for that,” he said. Other similar Judd’s businesses in Denver have closed.

The space will feature an indoor coffee shop, self-serve beer taps and TVs. There will be a dog yard outside that will lead directly to a 4,000-square-foot dog park.

There will be a 6 feet high fence around the park for security. Certain regulations will also be enforced to minimize any noise nuisance to the surrounding area.

“We’ll only be open until 8 o’clock, so the park itself,” Judd said. Food halls and restaurants will remain open after that, but the park will not open after 8 p.m.

Once Happy Dog is open, owners can upload their dog’s vaccination records using a QR code. Once the documents are reviewed, they can enjoy the space. There will also be people called “wooferi” looking after the dogs.

“Someone in the back who’s actually watching the dogs, you know, looking for what signs they might be showing if someone is showing some aggression,” Fahis said. And then take care of it.”

Things To Look For When Renting With Pets

“To provide for the community, to be able to go and have your dogs in a safe environment without fear of anything,” Judd said. That’s really what it’s all about.”

The co-owners are still deciding the final price. There will be options for daily, monthly or yearly fees.

They’re looking at maybe $15 for a day visit, up to about $300 for an annual membership.
