These services are offered at a cost of $15 each: Rabies vaccination: one-year dose, three-year dose if applicable; microchip; Bordetella vaccine.
These services are offered free of charge thanks to the Petco Love National Vaccine Initiative: DAPP (distemper, adenovirus, parainfluenza and parvo) vaccine; and the FVRCP (feline viral rhinotracheitis, calicivirus, and panleukopenia) vaccine.
“Thanks to Petco Love, APA continues to offer free vaccinations to pet owners in our community,” said APA Executive Director Michel Meunier. “Our low-cost, semi-monthly clinic is also the only clinic in the area that offers three-year rabies vaccinations for eligible animals, and that is what sets our clinic apart from others.”
APA can only serve well-behaved dogs on leashes and cats in kennels, according to the press release. Anyone bringing their pet to the clinic must queue in a vehicle in front of the clinic, according to the APA. Each person will be called into the building when it is their turn. APA accepts cash or credit cards.

APA is able to accomplish this through the volunteer work of rescue/foster coordinators, foster families, and donations. Bring your dogs, cats and ferrets to the FREE Rabies Vaccination Clinic on Saturday, March 25 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm This clinic, sponsored by the Putnam County Health Department, will be held at the Putnam County Veterans Memorial Park (Upper Park), 201 Gipsy Trail Road, Carmel, and is open to all Putnam County residents.
Bring a photo ID as proof of Putnam County residency and proof of previous rabies vaccination. Tags are not acceptable. If you do not have proof of previous rabies vaccination, your pet will receive one year of rabies vaccination. Pets must be at least 12 weeks old. All dogs must be leashed and under control. Any dog that could become aggressive should wear a muzzle. Cats and ferrets should be transported in a transport box – preferably a transport box that contains a top, not a harness. All animals must be supervised by an adult. Wearing a mask is recommended in the kennel. Social/physical distancing, face coverings, and minimum number of people are respected.
