From Checkout/Highland to Asheville. One of my favorite places is Maggie Valley because it has a variety of dog-friendly cabins for rent and its proximity to the Blue Ridge Parkway offers plenty of hiking opportunities for you and your dog. Asheville is also close by and has dog-friendly restaurants.

One of my favorite road trips with my husband and Rocky was driving up the East Coast to Ocraco Island, just south of the Outer Banks, stopping for a few days at various places along the way.

Whatever you want, whether it’s spending time on the beach, experiencing the history or culture of a certain area, food, sightseeing, camping, hiking, or just enjoying a quiet place to relax , these can be opened for enjoyment and experience. From east to west, the United States is filled with dog-friendly vacations that are bustling, beautiful, and action-packed. A Dog’s National Park Vacation

National parks are great places for dogs, and Acadia National Park is one of the best. There are more than 100 miles of trails to explore, and free, dog-friendly buses take passengers around the park and island.

Explore trails like the Precipice Trail, the Champlain Mountain & Beehive Loop Trail, and the Gorham Mountain Trail. Campsites such as Blackwoods and Seawall welcome pets for overnight stays. Just outside the national park boundaries is Little Long Pond, a 1,000-acre park where dogs can run free.

There is a restaurant on site, and the good news is that pets are welcome! Visitors to Acadia National Park have been lining up for spectacular views and popcorn at the Jordan Pond House since 1893. , a fun tradition that has been going on for over 40 years.

Without a doubt, Newport offers one of the most dog-friendly vacations in the country. Start with a 3.5-mile walk on the Cliff Walk for a beautiful view of the Atlantic Ocean.
