Dog-friendly But Not Dog-frequented Stores?

We love how many of you have told us how much you love our series of dog-friendly destinations. We love it too! Traveling with Duchess is definitely a learning curve, but it means a lot to us when we can take her with us on our family trips.

Is Toronto dog friendly? HELL YES! Despite its reputation as a concrete jungle, Toronto is home to many parks, outdoor dog runs, and more. Even inner-city backyards, like this one in College Park, have some greenery that makes it easy to get out with your dog.

It’s about time we introduced Toronto to our dog destination series; After all, we’ve lived here for years and now we only live less than an hour away. You can now find a detailed “Toronto with Dogs” post with full hotel information here in my post on my favorite Toronto hotels, as well as more information about each activity and restaurant.

7 Dog-friendly Trails Around Ottawa To Enjoy This Summer

We absolutely loved our stay in Chelsea and can now see why families love coming here!

While it’s not a full-on indoor water park in Toronto, Chelsea’s family fun area certainly has plenty of water park elements, such as the iconic Corkscrew Waterslide, which actually goes down the building in one piece.

Remember, a more complete list of DOGGY DO’s in Chelsea can be found in my post on my favorite hotels in Toronto.

Go out on the town with your dog (and kids if you have them!) during your time at the Chelsea Hotel. I’ll give a brief overview here, but you can find more information in my article on pet-friendly hotels in Toronto.

Secrets In The South

Cherry Beach Dog Park is fantastic and by far the only outdoor dog park that I know of.

When backyard season is in full swing, few cities do better than Toronto. This section will definitely grow over time and there are more deets in my post on my favorite hotels in Toronto.

Black Lab Brewing is a wonderful place to eat and drink on a rainy day in Toronto. Since it’s not technically a restaurant (although it does serve food), dogs are allowed here, even indoors.

I love that Mildred’s Temple Kitchen is dog friendly! They also have small cookies and a bowl of water at the porch entrance that says “dogs deserve lunch too.” One of the best lunches in Toronto.

Where To Take Your Dog Canoeing

We had been planning the trip to Lake Placid described above for some time before I decided to investigate a break that made geographic sense. I told the kids that Ottawa could be a great place and they were excited to be back. It’s been a few years and it’s one of their favorite cities.

Are you reading this in the summer? Then you should check out my weekend trip in the Ontario post – Ottawa featured!

There are so many things to do with your dog in Ottawa that it would take at least one visit to complete this post…but you’d be hard pressed to do it all in one weekend!

It was a real pleasure to finally stay here. This is a truly beautiful hotel that feels like royalty from the moment you pick up your car keys. Fairmont hotels are known for their friendly dogs — some even have pets — and this one is no different. It’s definitely the cheaper option of the two, but for those who want a bit of luxury in their lives, this is the place to be. the dog’s neck will be a diamond

Beautiful Dogs Pet Grooming

The Fairmont Château Laurier is a pet-friendly luxury hotel in Ottawa, close to many amenities and next to a beautiful park with spectacular views. (All photos taken with iPhone 14 Pro)

Remember, the full list of DOGGY DO’s at the Fairmont and Westin can be found in my favorite Ottawa hotels post.

We have stayed at Westin hotels many times over the years, but last winter was our first time staying at the Ottawa Hotel. And it is very dog friendly. The Westin Ottawa is also a good test for those who believe they have completed their home study; There are many floors and there is an event between waiting for the elevator and crossing the street to the real grass.

As with the Toronto entry above, you can now find a detailed “Ottawa with Dogs” post with full information on the hotels in the Ottawa section here in my Ottawa Hotels post with more information on each. Find activities and restaurants.

Tobermory Pet-friendly Vacation Rentals

Note that this is just the list above and a detailed list with more information is in my post on friendly hotels in Ottawa.

We already know from years of walking the walking village that people love to take their dogs to Tremblant. But until we became dog parents ourselves, we had no idea that the village was so pet-friendly that they had stickers on the doors of shops. I do not count the number of shops that have green hearts – this is the rule, not the exception.

The summer will be a real test for Tremblant when we no longer have a puppy and can explore hiking and even try cycling with the duchess. And for the restaurant… While we have no problem exercising and mentally stimulating the Duchess, it’s really surprising that with all the pet friendliness we’ve found in the shops, the warm open terrace (Lucille) about her pet is confused pet politician But more about the restaurant below.

37+ Unique Dog-friendly Attractions In The United States

We are delighted to introduce Her Royal Highness the Duchess to our favorite mountain lodge. Fairmont Tremblant is one of three pet-friendly hotels in Mont-Tremblant’s pedestrian village and the only property that is indoor and outdoor.

And they love dogs! (In fact, they once had a pet dog that had its own house at the entrance.)

I’ll only give a brief overview of the Fairmont in this post, as I recently updated and expanded my review of the Fairmont Tremblant with a broader view of the hotel as a whole, so be sure to check that out as well.

Looking for another place to stay in Tremblant if you plan to leave your dog at home? Here’s a guide to the best Mont-Tremblant hotels and some winter activities in Mont-Tremblant.

Dog Friendly Beaches Near Toronto

We’ve stayed at the pet-friendly Fairmont Tremblant several times, but this was our first visit with a dog – and it was a huge success! (Photo taken by iPhone 14 Pro)

Since this village is pedestrian only, it is a dream to walk without the worry of cars and roads. There are also many dog kennels in the village, giving your dog plenty of socializing opportunities. We only found one other dog owner who said her dog was not friendly enough to interact with.

Should you travel to Mont-Tremblant with a dog? Of course! Just read my post to find out what it is. (Photo taken by iPhone 14 Pro)

A dog in a pottery shop? Why not! Creative Studio is also listed in my Tremblant Summer and Winter Activities Guide to help you find things to do when it rains.

The City Dog And The Country Dog

This is one area where Tremblant can improve its animal friendliness. I’m not sure if Quebec restaurant rules prohibit dogs (other than service animals, of course) from joining their families on the outdoor patio, but we were surprised to see that despite a new heated patio opening on our weekend dogs were dogs. not allowed. Lucille seems to have an interesting atmosphere and hopefully she will develop a consistent policy before the next visit. More about this (and all Tremblant restaurants) in my article about restaurants in Mont-Tremblant.

Other than room service, there was unfortunately no way to include our fifth family member in any of our dining experiences. We look forward to visiting in warmer weather
