With no shortage of places to hang out with your furry family, Mendocino County is the perfect place to come – think long walks on the beach, stroll through the Mendocino Beach Botanical Garden, or take a walk through the woods on a train ride – with the puppy following behind!

Walking around town with your dog is also a lot of fun — especially at places like Mendocino Barquery in downtown Ukiah — that offer pet boarding. All food and pet supply stores are welcome, as are many restaurants. Noyo Harbor is a great place to walk pets, grab a bite to eat on the dock, and enjoy the view. If you’re short on time but want to get your dog some exercise, consider any of the dog parks around the county or city parks – remember your bag!
