The research comes from Showers to You, which analyzed Google ratings and reviews for 148 dog-free beaches to find the most popular spots. However, beaches without Google Maps ratings and reviews were excluded from the study. To obtain an overall weighted rating, a normalized index score was calculated prior to calculation.
