Start your trip right outside our door with a walk with your dog along the Riverwalk to Bingham Park. You can also enjoy a 2.1 mile hike along Lake Wallenpaupack. We are happy to show you the right way and you will be on your way! Don’t forget to take a stick from the balcony and have lunch.

Another great area near Lake Wallenpaupack is the Shuman Point Natural Area. You can go with a leashed dog in this 3 mile hike. All skill levels are welcome and the trail offers great views of the lake and forest to visitors. About 2 kilometers away you will find a stone wall used as a fence to separate the farmers’ fields.

Just a short drive from the hotel is Promised Land State Park. Located in Greentown, Pennsylvania, the park offers hikers more than 50 miles of trails. Dogs on leashes can accompany their owners along the park’s Little Falls Trail. The 1.4 mile trail follows Wallenpaupack Creek and passes a small waterfall that bears the trail’s name.

Lehigh Valley State Park Trail is perfect for dogs with wide trails and river views. The entire trail is 26 miles long, but a shorter trail can be started in Rockport. The hike is worth it because the path is a little steep. Be sure to find your way to the abandoned train tunnel, which offers views of the river. This is a great adventure for your kids.
