In more than six years of RV travel with wildlife, when I think of the place that has surprised me the most, it is traveling under the chalk pyramids in Kansas. Not many people know about this place, but now the secret is out! The monument is located in western Gove County, Kansas. This series of large, chalk monoliths is called the Chalk Pyramids. Dogs are allowed off-leash and you’ll feel like you’re in another world. It is truly a once in a lifetime experience.
Originally from Florida, we love being at the beach! But after visiting Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore and Brickell and Digby, I can now feel the lake life! Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore features miles of sand dunes and blue skies above Lake Michigan. Like many places, there are some beaches where dogs are not allowed, so check with the friendly park staff, get a map or check online. We found Brickell and Digby to be better beach resorts than we expected. But remember that dogs are not allowed online for security reasons.

This attraction has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places since 1988.
