Dog Friendly Places To Visit In Cornwall – Located on the north coast of Cornwall, Perranporth is a free beach for your dog. Its long stretch of sand has plenty of room to roam and the nearby village is friendly and welcoming to hikers and four-legged friends. Dogs are allowed all year round. However, there are restrictions that dogs must be kept on a lead between July and August between 9am and 5pm.
Corn Beach (also known as Gerrans Bay) is one of the best in the area for its long stretch of sand. It’s usually not very busy and is a dog-friendly beach all year round, although pets must be kept on a lead during the summer months. Great location on the Roseland Peninsula.

This is without a doubt one of the most stunningly beautiful places in Cornwall, although it is quite a drive from us here at the hotel, this beach is definitely worth it! Dogs are allowed on this beach all year round and the car park is a ten minute walk away. However, we do note that the waves at Padenwonder Beach come in very quickly, so watch out for you and your dog!

Another great beach that welcomes dogs all year round. This long sandy beach is perfect for dog walking and surfing, if your dog loves the water! Lifeguards are on duty from mid-May to the end of September, so take advantage of the safe swell while you can.
Sitting half a mile along the southwest coast path from Borscato, this beautiful beach is welcoming, family friendly and of course, dog friendly! Dogs are allowed all day, all year. We recommend taking a trip around the tidal pools and along the beautiful Roseland while enjoying a day here.
This local beach in Hayle has lovely sand dunes for you and your four-legged friend to climb up and down. Dogs are welcome on this beach, except between 10am and 6pm in July and August, when there is a seasonal dog ban between Hill and Blackcliff River.
Another of our favorite beaches, Goran is an east-facing sandy beach that’s popular with families and great for surfing and swimming. This beautiful beach is dog friendly all year round, however, they must be kept on a lead.

Also known as Cadgwith Cove, this beautiful little spot is a great place to relax and enjoy the scenery with your dog. This beach is a great place for swimming and exploring along the rocks. It’s also dog friendly all year round!
Located on the west coast of Lizard, this small sandy beach resides close to the historic lifeboat station and the impressive Moulin Harbour. This beach welcomes dogs all year round. However, due to its size, it is often covered during high tides. We recommend visiting and exploring the beautiful harbor!

The gently sloping bay of mountains stretches from Newlyn past Marazion, home to the famous St Michael’s Mount and Penzance Promenade (depending on the tide) and the dog-friendly beaches of long sandy Dock Rock Beach.
Travel further east to Cornwall’s south coast and you’ll discover a world of rugged coves, open headlands and winding paths. Head a little beyond Marazion and you’ll find the delights of Prussian Cove, where this beautiful landscape offers everything from sheltered beaches to fields of wildflowers.
