State Parks With Pet Friendly Cabins And Cottages
Bear Hill Lodge Sitting on a peaceful corner we are the only lodge in town. Tekarra Lodge is your best choice when looking for a friendly lodge in Jasper National Park. Our cabin sits on a ridge overlooking the Athabasca and Miette rivers, and right outside your door is a dog trail and area to exercise, stretch or curl up. Located in a national park, Tekarra Lodge does not see wildlife on the property, especially during deer breeding season. It is important that dogs are properly regulated (i.e. leashed) to ensure that wild animals have the space they need. Finally, we are all guests in their house.
We want guests to stay with us to enjoy the grounds that Tekarra Lodge is known for. We ask our guests traveling with furry family members to sign a pet registration agreement upon check-in and allow a maximum of two pets per bedroom. Unfortunately, pets are not allowed in our bedroom above Tekarra Restaurant.
There is a pet charge of $35 per pet per day, but we will not charge you more than $70 per pet during your stay. You welcome dogs of all sizes, including large dog breeds. All registered pets (especially dogs) will receive a special care package upon check-in. We also provide pet sheets for the couch and food bowls if needed. From time to time we have seen cats accompanying their owners on vacations as well; Tekarra Lodge is open to all animals.
What makes keeping your pet even more meaningful is that a portion of the cost of the pet goes to the Hinton and District SPCA and SCARS.

Lake Annette is a popular swimming pool with many trails around the blue-green lake. If you have a dog that likes to play in the water, there is a small area where you can cool off.
Jasper National Park is the largest national park in the Canadian Rockies and is full of natural wonders. Please note that most of the park’s hiking trails are dog-friendly as long as they are always on a leash.

Bear Hill Lodge has Jasper’s only cabins located in town and is within walking distance of all of Jasper’s best restaurants and attractions (which is important because parking in Jasper is not free). They have different types of cabins available for all types of guests. Some for small groups and some for large groups.

Some of Jasper’s cabins are simple and some are large. All are equipped with fireplaces, a must in winter in Alberta.
Some units also have a kitchen to prepare your own meals if desired, but rooms without a kitchen will provide breakfast. I also love that you can choose to have dinner delivered to your cabin from Kitchen Fiddle River. Finally, this condo near Jasper is pet-friendly ($20 per dog per night, which goes directly to housekeeping).
If you want a rustic lodge in Jasper National Park, you should check out Tekarra Lodge. Located across the Yellowhead Highway, this Jasper condo is charming and quiet. This is a great place to come and enjoy the peaceful environment in the mountains.
Although this room in Jasper does not have a TV, they are all equipped with dishes, utensils, pots and everything you need to cook a full meal. Bonus: There is a cozy fireplace in the cabin.

Miette Hot Springs is only a 25 minute drive and the town of Jasper is only a 30 minute drive, convenient. more in nature. Miette Mountain Cabins offers free Wi-Fi, satellite TV and a kitchen. So it’s a great place for those who want to get away and have the comforts of home.
Each unit in this one-of-a-kind Alberta suite also features a comfortable sofa and gas fireplace to enjoy at night, even in the summer. When you come back from exploring Jasperk, you can always relax in their heated outdoor pool. If you forget something in town, you don’t have to worry either, as Miette Mountain Cabins offers an on-site mini market with prepared meals. Which is great because there are BBQ facilities in the summer. Note that Miette Mountain Cabins is pet friendly and charges $25 per dog per night.
Lake Patricia is one of my favorite places to visit in all of Jasper and staying at the lake is a dream come true. It’s a beautiful place in summer and winter, but it’s also a beautiful place. Located at the foot of Pyramid Mountain, you can stay at Patricia Lake Bungalows and enjoy the view of the surrounding mountains.
