Dog Friendly Holidays At Chesil Beach Lodge
Located next to a year-round dog-friendly beach, our award-winning dog-friendly villas are a paradise for dogs and their owners. Each cottage has its own fully enclosed walled garden so your dog can run free (and have a good sniff of rabbits!). Our outdoor showers are perfect for washing off sandy paws and leashes after a nice walk on the beach or through the dunes (also great for washing wetsuits!).
Our beach villas offer stylish and comfortable accommodation for families, couples, groups of friends and their dogs. All cottages are fully equipped for a comfortable self catering beach holiday in Devon.
We supply furniture covers to protect sofas and home textiles. If your 4-legged friend likes to snuggle up on the couch or you think you’ll need more, bring your own blankets to protect any furniture. The cottages have hard floors that can be swept and washed – no carpets!
Dog crates with vet bedding are available on request, saving you space in the car for everything else. On arrival our canine guests receive a doggy box with a range of treats including an exclusive Saunton Beach Villas dog tag to wear with pride! We do not charge per dog per night – the £40 per dog fee covers all your dogs for the duration of your stay.

We also have a range of tried and tested (for an office dog!) treats from Kelso and Titch, including Doggy Popcorn, tasty sausages and crunchy biscuits! We’re also big fans of their lovely Paw and Nose Balm – perfect for giving your pooch some TLC after long walks on the beach!
All our cottages are dog friendly, with no limit on the number of dogs, but we recommend booking a larger cottage if you are bringing 4 or more dogs. For example, if there are 4 people and 5 dogs, you will probably feel more comfortable in 6 beds than 4 beds. This is not a booking requirement, we are just happy to offer you all to feel comfortable!
We have canine groups such as agility teams that stay with us regularly because they can all stay together without worrying about the dogs’ restrictions. We often hear from families who haven’t been on holiday for years because they can’t find somewhere to put all their dogs and they say we are happy to offer such groups a holiday together.

Enrich Your Dog’s Life In Nsw Holiday Hot Spots
Yes, each cottage has a fully enclosed garden – the fences are approx 4ft high and guess and miss style. If you would like a specific fence height for a specific cottage, please let us know. In the garden you will find an outdoor shower, perfect for washing off sandy paws and cases after a long walk on the beach or for cooling off your dogs on a hot day!
If you have a dog that would benefit from a quieter location on site, please contact us and we will be happy to advise you on which cottage would suit you best.
We do not prohibit our guests from leaving dogs in the cottage if they need to go out. Of course, be a responsible dog owner and do not leave your dog for long periods of time or if it is too hot in the cottage. We also ask that you respect your neighbors and do not leave your dog if you know that he is making too much noise when you are out.
Great location and clean and tidy accommodation. Everything basically taken care of. We booked a four day break in the height of summer and had a great time – would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a decent no frills standard.

We had a fantastic stay at 5 The Dunes. Perfect location for the beautiful Saunton Sands beach. The cottage was well equipped and perfect for a family and our 2 large dogs. Excellent value for money even during the school holidays.
Just returned from a 4 day holiday at 3 Dunes at Saunton Beach Villas with my teenagers and our cava poodle Bea 🙂 It had everything we needed, the location was fantastic and being able to have the back door open to the enclosed garden was perfect. We went to the beach a lot and the food at the Beach Grill was delicious. tip – get tesco delivered to your door!
If you have a dog, this is the place to go. Can’t fault anything and will definitely be back.
What a lovely place to stay. The cottage was clean and comfortable with everything you need for a self catering stay. The beach was beautiful and our dog really enjoyed running along the beach and through the caves. It was sad to leave and go home but next time I wouldn’t hesitate to come back maybe for longer.
